Bangkok’s riverside’s latest restaurant & lounge, Spice & Barley, has been declared the winner in the Restaurant - Brasserie category of the inaugural US-based LIV Hospitality Design Awards by a judging panel of international architecture and design professionals.

Owned by Bangkok-based Minor Hotels and designed by Patrick Keane from architecture studio Enter Projects Asia, the design installation for the Spice & Barley restaurant uses rattan sculptures and gold hues to fuse Thai tradition with modern design. Serving gastro food of Sichuan origin and specializing in craft beers, the restaurant’s location overlooking the Chao Phraya River also played a role in its design.
