June 2024, National: Novotel Goa Resort & Spa and Novotel Goa Candolim have appointed Udayan Damodharan as the new Director of Talent and Culture. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 14 years across Accor makes Damodharan the astute leader in the category to enable and further elevate talent acquisition, employee engagement, and leadership development for both the properties.

In his new role, Udayan will focus on creating a more positive and inclusive work environment. He’ll be appointing and retaining top talent, and developing training platforms to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. He will bring to the forefront initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for the workforce of the property. With employee engagement as his priority, he plans to create an environment where staff can flourish and actively participate in Accor's development programs. Under Accor’s great vision for inclusive workforce, he will create a diverse manpower ecosystem across the society strata. Udayan plans to focus on collaborating with training institutions, establishing formal partnerships with hotel schools, and leveraging social media for active recruitment as well.

Udayan's experience encompasses pre-opening and successful launches of several properties across India, including Accor properties like Grand Mercure Bangalore and Novotel Kolkata. He is also committed to social responsibility and aims to actively engage hotel staff in CSR initiatives for both properties.

With years of experience and a deep understanding of the Accor brand, Sachin is set to elevate guests’ experiences and drive growth at Novotel Goa.

June, 2024, National: Novotel Goa Candolim and Novotel Goa Resort & Spa are pleased to announce the appointment of Sachin Maheshwary as the new General Manager. Sachin, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry will be responsible for the growth of 270 keys across both the properties, leveraging his extensive knowledge of the Novotel brand and his skills as an F&B Alchemist for Accor in India & South Asia.

In his new role, Sachin's focus will be to elevate both the Novotel properties through strategic initiatives in F&B, enhance training of staff across both the properties to ensure guests' experiences and other services are taken notches higher. He will also bring in his expertise of infusing local elements by collaborating with local communities and driving sustainable practices. Having worked with the Novotel brand twice before, he has a clear understanding of the brand goals, service standards and identity. His extensive experience and innovative ideas will enhance the brand’s image holistically.

His journey with Accor started in 2016 where he served as Executive Assistant Manager at Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach and has since played a pivotal role in the brand's growth and success in India. He has proven himself since then by leading 2 pre-openings as General Manager at Novotel Kochi Infopark Kochi and Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall, Bengaluru. Opening the hotel was both tough and rewarding for Sachin, but he handled it all with ease. Since joining Accor brand, he has introduced multiple F&B programs, training and support framework for the food and beverage team across the region as the F&B Alchemist for India & South Asia and also won the Times Best Hospitality Project for the year 2022.

Sachin’s professional trajectory includes the best of the best in the hospitality industry including The Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, Taj Lands End Mumbai and Taj Coromandel Chennai. He has a Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University (US) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), where he was awarded ‘Best Student of the Year’. He was also awarded the ‘Best F&B Manager’ award by FHRAI for the year 2013-14.

Commenting on his appointment Sachin expressed, “I couldn't be more thrilled to join the Novotel family in Goa. Novotel Goa Candolim Brings On-board Industry Veteran Dibendu Kumar Khan as Director of Operations

April 2024, National: Novotel Goa Candolim proudly announces the appointment of Dibendu Kumar Khan as Director of Operations. Dibendu is an accomplished hospitality professional with a career spanning over 20+ years and a rich background in team management, room operations, customer service and curating bespoke guest experiences. His proven track record of successes across the years will continue to drive exceptional and innovative hospitality solutions at Novotel Goa Candolim, further strengthening his reputation as an industry leader.

In his new capacity as Director of Operations, Dibendu will oversee the day-to-day operations of Novotel Goa Candolim, ensuring seamless execution of services and maintaining the hotel’s commitment towards providing exceptional guest experiences. He has previously held pivotal roles at Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach, The Leela Goa, Taj Greencove Resort Kerala and Ananda in the Himalayas. Dibendu holds a Bachelor of Hotel Management degree.
