Mumbai, November 2024: The St. Regis Mumbai is pleased to announce the appointment of Dhiraj Amin as the new Director Of Sales, boasting an illustrious career spanning across 14 years of exceptional experience in the hospitality industry. 

Dhiraj brings with him a wealth of experience in creating, leading and conceptualizing a team. Having started his journey as a Management Trainee Sales at Svenska Design Hotel, Dhiraj has greatly contributed in fostering growth at prestigious hospitality chains such as JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai and Waterstones Hotel & Resort Mumbai. In his previous role as the Director of Sales at Sofitel Mumbai BKC, he excelled in developing comprehensive business and sales strategies in pursuit of new opportunities of growth, led the day to day functions of the Sales Department, and produced, implemented and monitored action plans to ensure budget plan and forecast objectives were well achieved. 

Notably, Dhiraj was recognized as a Marriott Presidents Circle Winner in 2016, underscoring his commitment to excellence in sales. His strong communication skills and leadership capabilities position him well to drive the hotel’s sales initiatives forward and enhance the guest experience at The St. Regis Mumbai. 

With his proven track record of continuously delivering long-term results and his unwavering dedication towards achieving excellence, Dhiraj Amin is well-equipped to lead the sales team at The St. Regis Mumbai. His role as Complex Jr Sous Chef at The Westin & Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain showcased his innovation, team development, and commitment to maintaining high standards in the kitchen. Ahmed's menu creation and introduction of new dishes reflect his dedication to  elevate Sette Mara to the forefront of culinary trends, infusing a unique flavor profile that caters to diverse palates. Formerly a key figure at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Ahmed, as Chef de Partie, significantly contributed to the culinary landscape. His journey from Demi Chef at Intercontinental Doha City Hotel to Commis at Sheraton Grand Doha showcases versatility and adaptability in diverse culinary settings.  Ahmed's customer-centric approach, developed during his early days as a waiter, sets him apart, making him a sought - after culinarian. 

“Originally from Egypt, I've always dreamt of visiting India. My journey began in the service industry, where I realized my true calling  was to cook for people rather than serve them. My creativity and expertise were honed at some renowned hotels like The Westin & Le Meridien City Centre, Bahrain. Sette Mara presented the perfect opportunity for my first venture into Asia. I am passionate about playing with fire which inspired me to create unique variations on the menu. It's my first time in India, especially in a diverse city like Mumbai. I am excited to make Sette Mara, the city’s first Levant restaurant”, says Chef Ahmed.

The St. Regis Mumbai Welcomes  Mr. Shaiban Hassan as the New Hotel Manager

April , 2024:  The St. Regis Mumbai is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Shaiban Hassan as the new Hotel Manager, boasting over 15 years of exceptional experience in the hospitality industry. 

Mr. Hassan brings a wealth of expertise, having previously served as the Hotel Manager at W Goa, where he showcased exemplary leadership and management skills. During his tenure, he successfully managed a luxury resort comprising 121 rooms, overseeing six food and beverage outlets and led a team of 335 employees. 

Prior to his role at W Goa, Mr. Hassan held key positions at prestigious establishments such as Four Seasons Resort Seychelles and Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain. His diverse experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, where he played an instrumental role in enhancing guest experiences, optimizing operational efficiency and driving revenue growth. 

With his proven track record of delivering exceptional results and his profound understanding of the hospitality industry, Mr Hassan is poised to make significant contributions to the continued success of The St. Regis Mumbai. As Hotel Manager, he will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of guest satisfaction, fostering team engagement and leadership and devising sales strategies.
