KUALA LUMPUR COMES TO MR. ONG, PARK HYATT CHENNAI

July 2023 – Park Hyatt Chennai plays host to Chef Muhammad Asaari Bin Johari, a culinary artist from Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur who is bringing his exceptional talent of crafting exquisite Malay festive menus to Mr Ong. With a culinary background of over 16 years, his expertise is a testament to his unwavering passion for cooking. He combines traditional techniques with innovative approaches, creating a symphony of flavours that tantalize the taste buds and leave a lasting impression on those who indulge in his creations.

Some of the signatures in the menu include -

Cucur Udang, Tauhu Dengan Kuah Kacang, white prawn fritters commonly known amongst

Malaysian as “jemput jemput udang” “jemput” meaning “invitation” and “udang” being “shrimps”. Served with homemade peanut sauce.

Ayam Masak Kelatan -“Percik” is a traditional Malay speciality that originates from Kelantan. Chicken is traditionally grilled over charcoal and generously seasoned with a spice blend of coconut milk, cumin, turmeric, coriander, lemongrass, galangal, ginger and chili pepper

Kerabu Mangga is a famous Malaysian appetizer. An authentic combination of local fern, herbs and raw mango. Ginger flowers make this dish aromatic and fresh Sago Gula Melaka is a pudding dessert and a favourite among Malaysians. Be a part of this unique gastronomic adventure.
