Brau Galie: Asia’s First Glass Microbrewery from Germany, Redefines Craft Beer with affine pairing of Global Cuisine in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April, 2025 – A trend-setting, innovative venue has arrived in Bengaluru: Brau means Brew in Germany, and Galie means Gallery—to be precise, it’s an Art of Brewing.

Brau Galie Microbrewery is set to revolutionize the city’s F&B scene with the concept of LIVE is LIVE—meaning live brewing, live cocktail bar, live kitchen, and live music, all in one atmosphere.

Combining time-honored brewing techniques with futuristic technology, it’s not just another craft brewing place—it delivers an immersive experience where beer, gastronomy, and music all blend together to create a great dining experience for all genres.

Located in the heart of Bengaluru, Koramangala, it spans multiple levels, offering the perfect ambiance to celebrate private parties and corporate gatherings with full privacy and dedicated musicians.
The venue offers an experience unlike any other, featuring a retractable rooftop that opens up to the city’s sky. Every corner of this space is designed to captivate the senses—from its stunning three-story hand-painted mural that’s truly Instagrammable to the warm, earthy interiors that nod to both tradition and innovation. At its core, Brau Galie is redefining craft beer in India, led by a distinguished Finest German Brewhouse.

The German Brewmaster uses state-of-the-art copper and glass brewing systems to craft six signature brews—three German-style originals (Bavarian Hefe, Munich, and Dunkel Lager) and three global styles created by Indian brewmasters, including the exclusive Raspberry Sour—a seasonal favorite. This perfect blend of authentic German expertise and modern technology ensures that every pour is nothing short of exceptional.

But Brau Galie is not just about the beer. Its globally inspired culinary offerings elevate the entire experience. From tapas-style small plates ideal for two persons to full-course dishes, the menu is curated to complement the microbrewery’s selection of brews.

Whether it’s a casual evening with friends or a grand celebration, the diverse food offerings cater to both the à la carte menu and Celebration Menu, with exclusive packages to make the place perfect for any occasion.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, Brau Galie provides an environment that welcomes all guests. There’s no dress code, no loud music, and a kid-friendly policy, ensuring that the space remains a place for meaningful conversations and connections. Whether it’s your first craft beer experience or you’re a seasoned enthusiast, Brau Galie offers an atmosphere that encourages exploration and enjoyment.

"At Brau Galie, we believe that the guest is our first priority, and we strive to create experiences that go beyond just craft beer. Our vision has always been to offer a premium ambiance at every touchpoint while ensuring value for money. Our goal is to bring people together over great brews, global cuisine, and immersive live entertainment—all in one stunning space. We’re proud to introduce a concept that blends tradition with innovation, and we can’t wait to share it with Bengaluru," says Mr. Sunil Naidu, Founder and Visionary behind Brau Galie.

Brau Galie is more than just a microbrewery; it’s a new destination for those looking to experience the perfect fusion of craft beer, cuisine, culture, and community. As Bengaluru’s F&B scene continues to evolve, Brau Galie stands out as a must-visit venue, destined to become a cornerstone in the city’s vibrant dining and drinking culture.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, 2025—Anacove, the pioneering developer of AI-enabled, cloud-connected energy management solutions for the global hotel industry, today announced the formal market introduction of its Anacove Smart Thermostat. This thermostat is part of a complete line of energy management solutions that also includes Anacove Staff Safety Alerts, Toilet Leak Detectors, and Asset Tracking Services.

In tests with leading hotels for the last two years, including IHG Hotels, who have designated Anacove a preferred vendor, Anacove Smart Thermostats are now available to every hotel owner-operator who wants to minimize their energy costs while maximizing the comfort level of their guests.
“Until now, hotel owner-operators have been forced to make trade-offs between energy management and guest comfort,” explained Anacove, CEO Ian Lerner. “The challenge of balancing the effective use of energy without negatively affecting the comfort of their guests has resulted in inefficient choices that end up costing owner-operators a lot of money. Now, with Anacove Smart Thermostats, hotel owner-operators have total control over the entire spectrum of energy management in ways that ensure maximum guest comfort and maximum energy cost savings.”

Designed and engineered for 21st century energy management, Anacove Smart Thermostats are innovative IoT devices with advanced sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, air quality, and guest presence. These devices seamlessly integrate with a hotel’s HVAC system through its existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, allowing for centralized control throughout the hotel. This enables continuous optimization of each room, regardless of occupancy status, leading to immediate and sustained cost savings. Unlike other occupancy-sensing thermostats, Anacove Smart Thermostats actively manage energy even when guests are asleep or have left their pet in the room.

Unprecedented Centralized Management:

The plug-and-play system can be set up by the hotel’s maintenance team or independent contractors without the need for additional wiring. Virtually maintenance-free, the system is updated via the Internet. The solution solves the unique challenges of hotel owners by bringing immediate value through energy optimization, while enabling ongoing, long term data-driven improvements. It orchestrates HVAC systems across the property to avoid system-wide inefficiencies such as peak consumption charges, while ensuring guest comfort. It simplifies integration, including combining data sources, while offering an easy-to-read dashboard that improves hotel and resource management.

Milestone Moment as Four Seasons Resorts Maldives Plant 9000th Coral Frame

The blue-hued Maldives are renowned for marking milestone moments. At Four Seasons Resorts Maldives, a very special celebration has taken place this month; one that impacts the future of the islands themselves. In partnership with Reefscapers, the Resorts planted their 9000th coral frame in the ocean, the latest landmark in a series of pioneering marine conservation projects that span more than two decades.

One of the most successful coral restoration projects of its kind in the world, the reef regeneration efforts at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives were born in the wake of the 1997-1998 El Nino bleaching event. Coastal oceanographer Thomas Le Berre of Seamarc Pvt. - now Reefscapers - approached the then new-to-the-Maldives Four Seasons with his dreams of coral propagation. A visionary partnership was born, leading to one of the Indian Ocean’s largest masses of artificial reefs to date covering 3.05 acres (2,351 square metres).

Supported by Four Seasons, Thomas’s research led to the development of a revolutionary coral frame technique.  Now adopted by conservationists worldwide, it involves attaching small coral fragments onto metal frames that are then planted on the seabed to regenerate coral reefs.

Like the coral it supports, the project has grown in myriad ways over the years. The coral propagation success at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru and Kuda Huraa led to Marine Discovery Centres at both Resorts served by a team of 11 full-time marine biologists. Marine conservation projects there include coral spawning research, sea turtle rehabilitation, and a Fish Lab to breed ornamental reef fish in captivity, reducing pressures on the natural reef. Landaa also became the birthplace of The Manta Trust - now a global charity dedicated to the worldwide protection of manta rays.

Reefscapers and Four Seasons continue to evolve reef restoration. Resort guests at Four Seasons two resort islands as well as Four Seasons Private Island at Voavah can transplant their own reef and watch it grow via online photo updates. In 2020, the onsite development of an AI catamaran that uses robotics to improve monitoring efforts led to the publication of the world’s largest coral restoration study to date in peer-reviewed journal Nature Ecology & Evolution, using Artificial Intelligence to assess, analyse and record data.

Climate change poses a huge threat to a country reliant on coral reefs. In 2016, the teams were devastated when 90 percent of the shallow water corals in Baa died in a bleaching event. When a mass bleaching event was predicted in 2024, the onsite Reefscapers teams were able to take preventative action, relocating an incredible 28,000 corals – between 450 and 500 frames – from shallow 2-3 metre sites to depths of 6-12 metres in a bid to save them.

On nearby island Fulhadhoo, building the coral frames supports the local economy. The frames are made from metal rebars and coated in a special mix of sand and resin to protect them from corrosion. Fragments of Acropora corals - collected from local healthy mature colonies - are attached securely before the frame is labelled, planted in the reef and photographed for monitoring purposes.

“Our 9,000th coral frame is an uplifting milestone for us," comments Armando Kraenzlin, Regional Vice President and General Manager at Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. "The Reefscapers teams at Four Seasons Resorts Maldives are all inspired by a shared love for the ocean and a determination to protect it from harm caused by human actions. As the restoration sites grow, we are seeing significant growth in the numbers of smaller species that live in and around the coral. This in turn attracts larger animals including sharks, eagle rays and turtles around the sites - restoring hope with every frame.”

The Reefscapers teams at Landaa Giraavaru, Kuda Huraa and Voavah know that one of the most important aspects of reef regeneration is education. School visits to local islands spread the conservation message and inspire a sense of custodianship of the reefs. Landaa also runs a marine biology internship for local students that is now in its third year, while guests at both resorts can learn about the pioneering project through hands-on reef building, as well as immersive programs for juniors at Kuda Huraa and Trainee Marine Savers modules for environmentally minded teens at Landaa Giraavaru.

Four Seasons also sponsors a number of frames every week, although the majority are sponsored by guests. "A key part of our role here is to spread knowledge and spark interest," concludes Armando. "What happens next is largely down to the passion, drive and commitment of those who visit the Maldives and choose to become the ocean stewards of the future through involvement in sponsorship programs and internships. When it comes to marine conservation, we are all in this together."

(NYSE: NCLH), have officially signed an agreement for the transfer of Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun to Cordelia’s growing fleet.

These additions mark a significant milestone in Cordelia's journey to make cruise holidays more accessible, aspirational, and world-class for Indian travellers.

“We are thrilled to welcome these iconic vessels to the Cordelia fleet, building on the overwhelming success of Empress, which redefined cruise holidays for Indian travellers,” said Jurgen Bailom, President and CEO of Cordelia Cruises. “With the addition of Sky and Sun, we are entering a new era of cruise holidays for Indian guests — one that is bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever before.”

Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun, both part of Norwegian Cruise Line’s acclaimed Sun-class series, bring with them a legacy of world-class cruising, thoughtful design, and guest comfort. Each ship measures approximately 850 feet in length, with a gross tonnage of approximately 77,000, and is capable of accommodating around 2,000 guests and 900 crew members. Together, they will more than double Cordelia’s current capacity and enable the brand to explore new regions and offer broader, more immersive cruise experiences.

One of the most significant upgrades with this expansion is the improved mix of stateroom categories. Both ships feature over 1,000 cabins each, including a selection of accommodations from solo staterooms to balconies and suites. Guests can look forward to an elevated onboard experience with multiple speciality dining venues, an elegant theatre and entertainment venues, casinos, a wellness centre, shops, an arcade, pools, sun decks, a fitness zone, and dedicated children’s and family entertainment areas. These sister ships are known for their spacious layouts, warm ambience, and versatility — catering seamlessly to both short getaways and longer destination-focused itineraries.

Since its launch in 2021, Cordelia Empress has welcomed over 600,000 guests across 450+ sailings, offering a uniquely Indian cruising experience — combining world-class infrastructure with the best of Indian flavours, hospitality, and entertainment.

Cordelia Cruises will soon announce deployment timelines and destinations for the two new ships, with plans to serve a mix of domestic and international routes. The addition of these ships will enable the cruise line to reach more ports across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East — opening doors to longer itineraries, increased frequency, and a more diverse and enriched guest experience.

Ingredient Ideology | Chatpata Chaats to Treat the Tastebuds By: Dr. Kaviraj Khialani- Celebrity Master Chef

Bhel Puri is a savoury snack originating from India, and is also a type of chaat. It is made of puffed rice, vegetables and a tangy tamarind sauce, and has a crunchy texture. Bhel is often identified as a 'beach snack', strongly associated with the beaches of Mumbai, such as Chow patty or Juhu. Bhel puri is thought to have originated within the Gujarati cafes and street food stalls of Bombay, and the recipe has spread to most parts of India where it has been modified to suit local food availability. It is also said to be originated from Bhadang, a spicy namkeen from Western Maharashtra

Bhel Puri is a low-fat, nutritious and popular comfort snack enjoyed in Western India. Bhel puri is also known as bhel in Marathi, Jaal Muri in Bengali and churumuri in Kannada language. Jhal means spicy and Muri is puffed rice. Jhal Muri is a spicy puffed rice snack that everyone loves. Bhel puri & churumuri are 2 other popular variations of Jhal Muri. Puffed rice is known by different names in India. This easy snack is whipped up using the puffed rice, groundnuts, bhel, potatoes and tamarind sauce.

In Mumbai bhel puri is enjoyed as a beach savouries or comfort snack. Bhel puri always tastes good when prepared and served immediately. Normally juices of tomatoes and chutneys are used to soften the puffed rice and to add flavor to the bhel puri. Another dry variant of bhel puri called bhadang is also enjoyed throughout North India. Bhadang is served after garnishing with coriander, lemon juice and onions.

Common Ingredients Used in Bhel Puri Recipes
There is lots of confusion regarding what goes in the preparation of a bhel puri. But some of the commonly used ingredients are puffed rice, mixture, sev (fried noodles like snack prepared from besan flour), onions, chilies and boiled cut potatoes. Generally different types of sauces and chutneys are also used to impart the spicy flavor to the bhel puri. Atleast two types of chutneys: date chutney and tamarind chutney are used in the preparation of the bhel puri. The date chutney is prepared by using dates and tamarind; tamarind chutney is prepared using coriander leaves and green chilies. Generally, the bhel puri is served after garnishing with diced onions, coriander leaves and green chilies.

During the summers -sweet mango chunks are also added to the bhel puri. The bhel puri is either eaten with a spoon or a crispy wheat bread called papri puries. Bhel puri may also be garnished with a combination of chunks of diced raw sweet mango, diced onions, coriander leaves and chopped green chilies. It is sometimes served with papri puries, a deep-fried small round and crispy wheat bread.

Variations of Bhel Puries:

Sev Papdi Chat: It is prepared by mixing 2-3 types of chutneys, chana masala (horse gram mixture) and boiled potatoes.

Sev Puri: It is just a simplified version of the bhel puri. It is prepared using sev, chutney, bhel puri and Papdi.

Dahi Puri: Dahi puri is the mixture of bhel puri, Papdi, chutney and yoghurt.

Mumbai Bhel Puri: This is a simple bhel puri which is enjoyed as an evening snack across Mumbai, has become popular the world over now and people especially come and relish this delicacy when are in Mumbai and want to treat on some street side famous foods also adapts itself to fusion concoctions as well.

Churumuri - finely cut pieces of onion, tomato, coriander leaves along with chilli powder are mixed, adding a few drops of coconut oil. Sometimes fried or roasted groundnuts may be added.

Preserving Culinary Legacy and Empowering Communities in Uttarakhand

A Landmark Initiative Led by Hon’ble Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh

In March 2025, a groundbreaking initiative took root in Uttarakhand, setting the stage for cultural revival, culinary heritage preservation, and community empowerment. Led by the Hon’ble Governor, Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh, this initiative promises to redefine the state’s cultural and economic landscape. The two-day delegation visit to Raj Bhawan, Dehradun, began this transformative journey.

Key Projects Unveiled at Raj Bhawan

The Hon’ble Governor entrusted the delegation with three pivotal projects that aim to celebrate Uttarakhand's cultural richness:

  1. Culinary Documentation Book
A comprehensive coffee table book will showcase Uttarakhand’s traditional cuisines, forgotten recipes, indigenous ingredients, and rich food stories. This project not only preserves the culinary legacy but invites contributions from local chefs, historians, and food artisans. The book’s release at a prestigious event at Raj Bhawan is expected to cement Uttarakhand’s place on global culinary maps.

  2. One-Day National Conference on Food and Spirituality
Scheduled to take place at Raj Bhawan within six months, this conference will explore Uttarakhand's connection between food, spirituality, and culture. Key highlights include panel discussions, interactive workshops, live demonstrations of forgotten cooking techniques, and a curated exhibition of local dishes.

  3. Women Empowerment Through Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
The Governor emphasized the importance of empowering local women by strengthening SHGs involved in food products. This initiative focuses on structured culinary training, entrepreneurship, and market integration, enabling women to achieve financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.

Reviving Forgotten Recipes: The Mussoorie Food Trail

During the visit, the delegation experienced a heritage food trail in Mussoorie, where they discovered long-lost recipes and traditional cooking methods passed down through generations. A notable encounter with a local chef, whose family once served the royal kitchens of the King of Tehri Garhwal, unveiled rare heirloom ingredients and cooking techniques.

From copper vessel cooking to unique spice blends, the trail showcased Uttarakhand’s rich culinary diversity, sparking interest in preserving such traditions.

Culinary Heritage Meets Sustainability

The initiative is more than just celebrating flavors; it is about creating an ecosystem where food acts as a bridge between heritage, sustainability, and economic empowerment. The Governor’s approach blends traditional wisdom with modern policies, fostering collaborations between chefs, artisans, academicians, and institutions.

A Call for Participation

The initiative invites contributions from chefs, food historians, writers, and Uttarakhand natives passionate about preserving the state’s food culture. Whether through sharing recipes, participating in conferences, or collaborating on training modules, every effort counts toward a greater cause.

Conclusion

Uttarakhand’s culinary heritage is not merely about food—it’s a reflection of its history, identity, and resilience. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh, this movement promises to position Uttarakhand’s food culture as a symbol of pride, unity, and empowerment.
