Hyatt Regency Chennai brings authentic Genovese and Sicilian home-style food by Fiammetta Maggio Pereira

FROM ITALY WITH LOVE

CHENNAI (January 2023) – Entrepreneur and Home Chef Fiammetta Mag-gio Pereira are all set to take over the kitchen at Hyatt Regency Chennai where she will be showcasing authentic Genovese and Sicilian home-style food cooked to perfection this February.

Hailing from the town of Sicily, Fiammetta grew up in Rapallo on the Ligurian Riviera. She moved to India in the year 1990 where she fell in love with the country and started working in the textile field along with her husband. Her passion for cooking began at a very early age. She completed a course in Cucina Italiana from Milano and derives most of her cooking from reading various cookbooks and from trial & error methods. Fiammetta also runs cooking classes as well as hosts Al Fresco lunches at her home showcasing the Italian Way of Life.

She has partnered with Hyatt Regency Chennai to create a unique experience for guests to savor Italian heritage focusing on high-quality ingredients and diverse culinary styles in collaboration with Yogita Uchil who is a food evangelist and a travel influencer.

The four weeks of Fiammetta x Focaccia include:

  • Week of 4/2: Italian Ala Carte

  • Week of 11/2: Home-style Pranzo

  • Week of 18/2: Italian Market Place

  • Week of 25/2: Italian Wine Dinner
