Hyderabad: July 2023: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (Novotel Hyderabad) proudly hosted a grand felicitation ceremony to honor Siddhanth Murali Kumar, who recently won a bronze medal for India at the Special Olympics World Games held in Berlin, Germany. The event, curated by the staff and management of Novotel Hyderabad & HICC, showcased the exceptional achievement of Siddhanth and recognized his hard work, determination, perseverance, and unwavering spirit. Becomes the First Hotel to use Water Generated from Air by Collaborating with O by Aria LifeWater, the World's First Packaged Atmospheric Mineral Water. Ties up with Orbisk to focus on food wastage and install India's first and only dual solar power and water heater system

Hyderabad: March 2023: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) has always prioritized long-term sustainability initiatives as a guiding principle in augmented hospitality and providing a great experience to guests. The property is also the first hotel to use O by Aria Life Water which is created by innovative technology which generates water from air, and remineralized atmospheric water in glass bottles.

As a step to reduce its carbon footprint and increase efficiency. The hotel has installed India’s first and only dual solar power and water heater system that heats 4000 liters of water per day and produces 9 kilowatts of electricity per day significantly reducing electricity consumption.

The hotel has also entered into strategic a tie-up with Orbisk which helps professional kitchens reduce food wastage and get a grip on their food consumption. Orbisk measures and automatically recognizes what kind of food is getting wasted and provides the right guidance to hotel staff to improve consumption.

NHCC, through the innovative technology, will annually offset under a million litres of ground water, by supplying the hotel's rooms, restaurants, and coffee shops having a significant environmental impact. With O by Aria LifeWater, Novotel will offset 9 lakh liters (little less than a million liters) of groundwater a year by serving the rooms, restaurants, and coffee shops in the hotel.  The dual solar system which produces 136 units of electricity each day or One hundred units, or 48960 KWh of energy, sufficient to heat 4000 litres of water. result, 34.6 metric tonnes less carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted at the property. There will be 1,224,000 KWh of energy produced over the course of a solar power system's 25-year lifespan. This results in a significant energy reduction.

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre organizes Sri Lankan Food Festival

Hyderabad: November 2022: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) is hosting a Sri Lankan Food Festival from 4th to 13th November 2022, in collaboration with renowned Chef Anura Lenora at Food Exchange, NHCC.  Chef Anura who hails from the Island country comes with an extensive experience in Sri Lankan and International cuisines. During the 10-day festival, he is all set to cast his gastronomical spell on the guests while showcasing the truly rustic and authentic flavors of the Island.

Sri Lankan cuisine is among the most diverse cuisines and offers a beautiful blend of authentic tastes and aromas. The cuisine has a rich history, which combines different curry concoctions, seafood, and many tasty dishes made with authentic spices.    Sri Lankan cuisine has its roots in a strong local culture as well as the colonial influences of the Portuguese, the Dutch, and the British who came for Sri Lanka’s famed spices and tea. South Indian and Malay traders have also left an impact on the food of Sri Lanka.

The Chefs at NHCC have very intelligently brought forward the idea of such a collaboration to placate your taste buds with a rather missed delicacy. The Food extravaganza will provide a huge variety of delectable and exotic Sri Lankan food spreads including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes like Morunga Maluwa, Alanibithi Curry, Malu Miris Purawala, Paripu Masala, Elawalu Cutlet, Elu Mas Curry, Malu Kiri Hodda, Kukul Mas Mirisata, Kaha-Bath, Kakulu Bath, Isso Badala, Kukul Mas Roti and Kukul, Mas Samaj Ala Saladya and much more. Special sweet dishes such as the Sago Thalapa (sago pudding), Kiri Topi, Pan Pudima, Pol Dosi (coconut Sweet), and Carota Kavum (Carrot cake) will also be served during the festival.

Hyderabad, October 2022: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, hosted its annual cake-mixing & grape stomping brunch at the Hotel. The event was curated to welcome the advent of Christmas and New Year and usher in a season of good tidings and happiness.  The grape stomping began with enthusiasm, with all guests soaking their feet in the barrels, set against the magnificent outdoor space.   The environment was charged with pre-Christmas cheers and songs playing in the background with lovely weather & an overcast sky. 

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre team escorted guests to the mixing table, beautifully arranged with Black currant, Golden Apricot, Rum Soaked Figs, Drunk Resins, Dates, Candied Orange Peel, Candied Ginger, Dry Cherries, etc. The invitees donned aprons, gloves, and caps, and armed themselves with bottles of liquor, ready to tackle the colorful mounds of dry fruits, nuts, and spices.  Everybody enjoyed the lovely afternoon filled with great cheer and festive spirit. As a tradition chefs at NHCC will soak this mixture for over a month and then make some of the best Christmas and New Year Cakes for the season.

Hyderabad July:  Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) & Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility yet again this year organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Blood Cell, National Health Mission to bring to light the contribution each individual could make towards a greater good and do our bit to aid the health experts in saving lives.

More than 100 employees of NHCC & HICC participated in the drive from different departments. Our sincere efforts were recognized & accoladed by the Telangana State Aids Control Society, which works for providing free blood and ensuring proper treatment is administered to critically ill patients. NHCC received an award from Sri T. Harish Rao, Hon'ble Minister for Finance & Health, and the Government of Telangana for its outstanding contribution.

The event which patronized art and culture was well attended and people were seen having a great time.

The Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation has become synonymous with world-class theatre in Hyderabad. October 2021: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre today hosted their annual cake mixing & grape stomping brunch at the Hotel. The event was planned to welcome the advent of Christmas and New Year and usher in a season of good tidings and happiness.  The grape stomping began with much enthusiasm, with all guests soaking their feet in the barrels, set against the magnificent outdoor space. The participants were observed singing songs and vigorously stomping the grapes, clearly having a good time.

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre escorted guests to the mixing table which was beautifully arranged with Black currant, Golden Apricot, Rum Soaked Figs, Drunk Resins, Dates, Candied Orange Peel, Candied Ginger, Dry Cherries, etc. The invitees donned aprons, face masks, gloves, and caps, and armed themselves with bottles of liquor, ready to tackle the colorful mounds of dry fruits, nuts, and spices.

All of the guests enthusiastically joined the chef's crew in mixing fruits and nuts with liquor and spirits in preparation for the impending Christmas dessert. They also ate a delicious brunch prepared by the chefs and danced to the beats of a DJ and a live band.

Hyderabad: October 2021: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre organized “Heartiest Gratitude Week 2021” with an aim to acknowledge and recognize the employee’s relentless efforts in delivering the highest standards of services, contributing towards the success of the hotel. The Heartiest Gratitude Week 2021 was organized with a sole intention to recognize and appreciate Heartiest who have served selflessly and supported and provided their service during this pandemic. The celebration was done for three long days at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre from October 12th to October 14th, 2021. The main aim is to recognize Heartiest and take time to appreciate them by saying out loud “We Thank You and Value You”.

For the staff, the hotel has organized many entertainment activities. The management has taken an opportunity for recognizing and address the core human emotion of grief, loss, and anxiety in their personal and professional space due to COVID’19 and thereby living Accor’s Heartiest philosophy of ‘We are One’. The event is a combination of Physical Presence as well Virtual presence for outstation warriors. The event started by welcoming the employees with a red carpet and music followed by the special banthi bhojanam (lunch) for employees.

Hotel have organized a ceremony to pay tribute to Heartiest or their close ones who have lost their lives to Covid’19. Also, the team NHCC had the honour of felicitating the Covid Warriors (Heartiest + Their Family Members), for their relentless efforts. The second day of the event was also packed with various fun-filled events for the employees starting with breakfast, morning tea, and a special food festival during lunchtime also with the interesting games like Anonymous Message Game and Flash Dance Reel.

To encourage the random act of kindness the HOD’s have given creative surprises to their team. Hotel General Member which helped them to get nominated to the Unsung Hero. Overall, it focused on discovering the crisis and celebrating the value of ‘Care Limitless’.

Hyderabad: May 21st, 2021: Ever since the highly contagious Coronavirus outbreak, the frontline workers and volunteers have been selflessly working around the clock to bring things under control. As a step to honour these unsung heroes, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) come forward with a heart-warming gesture by organising lunch for the volunteers of the Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) at Commissioner's office in Gachibowli. The lunch was attended by Mr V C Sajjanar, Additional Director General of Police of Telangana and Cyberabad Police Commissioner along with staff & volunteers of SCSC.  

Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has taken up a campaign helping people who are looking for beds, oxygen and ambulances and other medical needs.  SCSC has set up a special cell (group of volunteers) that helps the COVID patients by connecting them with the hospitals and supporting their treatment. The food menu was specially curated keeping in mind their nutritional needs to fight the pandemic. The hotel ensured all safety and hygiene measures were maintained while creating and delivering the meals. 

NHCC also provided 200+ meals for the doctors and healthcare staff of Medicover Hospital, Hitec City, Madhapur as a special gesture for their dedication and hard work in saving lives and serving humanity during this time of crisis.

According to Mr. Manish Dayya, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, “As we continue our fight against the pandemic, the volunteers and medical community have emerged as true heroes helping the communities manage the crisis. We understand there is an urgent requirement of safe and nutritious food for the front-line workers.  As a small gesture of our appreciation and respect towards them we have organised a lunch for the volunteers of the Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and also provided meals to the healthcare staff at Medicover Hospital. At NHCC we are committed to the wellbeing of our communities and will continue to support such initiatives in the future.” 

Mr V C Sajjanar Additional Director-General of Police of Telangana and Cyberabad Police Commissioner appreciated the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre team for their kind gesture towards the Front-line warriors and the volunteers (SCSC).
