With a notable 83 percent app cart conversion rate, over 20 percent higher than the brand's current web conversion rate, as well as a 29 percent conversion rate from email subscribers, it remains evident that meeting consumers' increasing desire for seamless mobile ordering experiences is crucial.

Tanah Gajah Ubud Readies For Tourism With Welcome Back to Bali Package

The Ubud property navigates local requirements so guests can start their holiday immediately

BALI (Apr. 12, 2022) - As the island of the gods opens up to international travelers, an iconic resort in the tropical island’s spiritual hub of Ubud is ready to host guests as an officially appointed hotel.

The boutique property, Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana, has been chosen by the Indonesian government as one of the hotels visitors can stay at as part of the “Warm Up Vacation” requirement, officially promoted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism. Although visitors may move around Bali freely after testing negative for COVID at the airport, they are still required to stay at the same hotel during their first three nights in the country.

The Tanah Gajah Ubud team have crafted a short-stay package, “Welcome Back,” that allows guests to relax and unwind in comfort while meeting the local COVID requirements for a getaway to the island.

Bali has now reinstated its visa on arrival services for 42 countries and revoked mandatory quarantine for vaccinated international travelers. However there are still some requirements, such as one PCR Test (upon arrival at the airport) as well as 30 days of health insurance protection. For more details see here. Also included in the package: airport pick up; personal hand sanitiser, face mask and disinfectant in each villa; a personal butler service; WiFi; daily afternoon tea; a daily sunset cocktail; complimentary minibar including alcohol selections (replenished daily); daily laundry up to six pieces per villa; access to wellness facilities; a UV light treatment in the villa prior to check-in; and a daily nanotechnology spray treatment for the villa, to minimize potential infections. However it’s the property’s location and rich cultural heritage that are the real drawing card for visitors.

Moored amid rice paddies in the uplands of Bali, and a destination unto itself, the 20-key property is spread out over a lush six hectares of land. With roots that go back to legendary designer and art collector, Hendra Hadiprana, the property has long attracted art and design lovers. It was originally built in the 1980s as a holiday home for Hadiprana and his family and was transformed into a resort in 2004. Though the Hadiprana family relinquished its occupancy of the site as a private family compound, the patriarch’s art collection remained, and numerous sculptures, antiques, and artwork from his travels can be found throughout the property to this day.

The resort offers two dining destinations, The Tempayan and Panen Padi Lounge. The new Tempayan was unveiled in 2020 with a design inspired by wantilan, a Balinese style pavilion. The tapas outlet, Panen Padi Lounge, also debuted during the pandemic. Both locations command prime locations with views over rice paddies and the resort’s hot air balloon experience.

The resort’s spa also takes in the property’s quintessential Balinese landscape, while the main pool is guarded over by Ganesh statues and partially flanked by ponds with resident swans. Private pool villas are available for guests who would like to enjoy a dip in privacy.

Tanah Gajah Ubud has strict health protocols. All staff are fully vaccinated and the property was awarded a 100% score for its CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety and environment) certification from the Indonesian government. The entire property is sprayed down with disinfectant twice a week and housekeeping disinfects guest rooms on a daily basis.

Package prices start at IDR 9,100,000 nett (Approximately USD 640) for single occupancy in a One Bedroom Club Suite (70 sqm) and range up to IDR 14,300,000 nett (Approximately USD 640) for double occupancy in a One Bedroom Club Pool Villa (280 sqm).

After the three night stay guests have the option of staying on or continuing their journey with Hadiprana through a stay at Dua Dari, a Residence by Hadiprana. Dua Dari consists of four residences in a jungle valley overlooking the Petanu River. The hotel was Hendra Hadiprana’s private residence after Tanah Gajah Ubud became a resort. Like its sister property, his extensive art collection can still be found throughout the site and the majority of the decor and furniture were once part of Tanah Gajah Ubud.

KOLKATA / December , 2021: In a significant initiative for skill development in Indian hospitality undertaken by industry body CII, an 18-month Vocational Education &Training (VET) Professional Diploma program by the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne(EHL) Education Group of Switzerland will be delivered at four ITC Hotels across the country.


A total of 200 students who have passed 12th standard in school will be enrolled in the first batch across four luxury properties including ITC Maurya (New Delhi), ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal (Kolkata), ITC Maratha (Mumbai) and ITC Grand Chola (Chennai). Fifty students will be taught at each hotel. CII has assured 100% placement to students upon successful completion of the ‘VET by EHL’ Professional Diploma program that is recognized by all major hospitality chains worldwide.

The VET by EHL Professional Diplomas is spread over 18 months, divided into three levels of learning - Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. The Program will offer learning in three distinct streams: ‘Culinary’, ‘Food & Beverage Service’ & ‘Rooms’ that follow VET by EHL’s world-renowned quality-assurance standards. Each certificate level builds skills on top of the previous and culminates into a Professional Diploma.


Students will get online access to the world-class global Learning Management System developed by EHL. They will be assessed on both theoretical knowledge on the Swiss Learning Management System as well as on practical skills acquired during training. On completion, the students will become a part of the prestigious VET by EHL Global Alumni Network. Furthermore, they are also offered an option to enrol for and pursue a UGC recognized degree.

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Aug., 2021 – LG Business Solutions USA has introduced a line of smart TVs specifically designed for cruise staterooms and crew cabins to deliver a superb viewing experience with customizable hospitality and entertainment interfaces for cruise ship operators. 

With models available in 43-, 32-, 28- 24- and 22-inch class sizes, the voice-controlled and Wi-Fi connected TVs allow cruise lines to offer a variety of services and entertainment options in any size cabin. These Pro:Centric® Smart TVs also offer specialized service menus, allowing ship operators to create custom branded digital experiences.

As cruise operators begin to welcome back their valued guests, our Cruise TVs will allow them to deliver a catered, carefree digital environment where guests can easily navigate digital video programming and ship-related information,” said Mike Kosla, vice president of hospitality at LG Business Solutions USA. “Our cruise TV line will benefit both cruise operators and passengers with increased functionality, simplified operation and a thoroughly enhanced guest experience, just in time for a return to the seas.

The Pro:Centric software provides a number of critical features for cruise ship environments, including support for 39 languages, one-click service tools, webOS 4.5 smart TV features, remote system management and easy-to-use templates and pages for custom on-screen interfaces to provide information and services to guests. The TV line also allows cruise operators to enable wireless streaming of music and video content from passengers’ mobile devices and laptops through Smart Share, Screen Share and Bluetooth Sound Sync technologies.

The 43-inch class 4K UHD cruise ship smart TV (model 43UT782V2) displays images four times sharper than HDTV and upscales content to take advantage of the TV’s 8 million pixels. Crisp audio is provided through two 10W stereo speakers, and mounting is available via a standard 200x200 VESA compatible wall mount, sold separately. This model features a thin profile with minimal cabinet thickness — for easy placement in any cabin or stateroom. The TV’s 60-pin connector on the back accommodates an external, full commercial-grade access point module. The connector also can be used for other current and future add-on modules, helping to future-proof this TV.


The 32-inch class and 28-inch class Pro: Centric Smart TVs for cruise ships (models 32LT662VBUC and 28LT662VBUB) feature compatibility with standard 200x200 and 100x100 VESA wall mounts, respectively, and both have dual 5W stereo speakers. Both LT662V models offer LG’s latest version of Quick Menu, which provides an editable welcome message, date/time and a menu bar of frequently used tools. 

The 24-inch class Pro:Centric cruise ship smart TV (model 24LT660VBUA) is compatible with a standard 75x75 VESA wall mount and also has dual 5W stereo speakers. It also features a standard desktop mount. The 22-inch Pro:Centric cruise ship smart TV (model 22LS660V) features 1,920x1,080 resolution and 250 nits of brightness. It’s also compatible with 75x75 VESA wall mounts.

In addition to the wide variety of interface options and connectivity solutions, all five cruise ship TV models include the Pro:Idiom digital rights management system designed to provide access to high-value content while helping to deter video piracy. LG’s conformal coating on critical circuits is designed to help protect the TVs from extreme low or high temperatures, dust, humidity and salty air in the harsh marine environment. 

For cruise ship applications requiring larger TV sizes, LG also offers a complete line of hospitality smart TVs ranging from 49- to 75-inches diagonal. These LG US770H series models, with built-in hotel TV features, may be used in luxury suites and other hospitality applications from bow to stern. 


Complementing the stateroom TVs are LG’s award-winning large-format direct-view LED (DVLED) displays. LG’s DVLED “Ultimate Business Displays” are available in sizes from 81 inches up to 49 feet diagonal for indoor spaces and from 19 to 48 feet diagonal for bright, outdoor areas. The 16:9 aspect ratio screens are available with 2K, 4K and 8K resolutions, while dual2K and dual4K configurations offer a breathtaking 32:9 UltraWide aspect ratio.
