Interview Questions I Like To Ask - Sunny Mehta, Director of Human Resources, Millennium Place Barsha Heights

I prepare for every interview based on the job requirement and also the candidate profile and all the questions are customised accordingly.

However a few generic questions now a days are

 1.    What are some learnings for you, out of the Pandemic Era?

This tells me their approach in a negative/challenging situation.

 2.    What personal principles do you follow in your life?

This tells me what kind of human being they are.

 3.    Which job/company gave you the most of learning/development? How did the development process start? What is the biggest change that development brought to your professional life?

This tells me if they take initiative to unlearn/learn/relearn.

 4.    Explain the qualities you want to see in your Ideal boss?

This tell me how good they will be, when leading a team.

 5.    How do you handle a low performing colleague? How much time/effort do you give them to fix their performance?

This tells me how would they handle/support a low performing/New colleague. If they have the right approach to coach/counsel colleagues in their low periods.

  6.    What do you know about “this property” (the company they are applying to)?

This tells me the level of interest one has in working for us and if the person is pro-active. It also tells me if the person is looking for just a job or a career.

 7.    What are the things you like in your current/previous employers?

This tells us his/her expectations from any employer, and also how he things about the company he worked for?
