Interview Questions I Like To Ask - Alma Resort's, Director of HR, Rowie Villacencio
/Here are some of the interview questions that I like to ask, especially for management positions:
What have you done to build a guest-focused mindset among your team members?
Describe a time when you had to deal with conflict in your team or between other teams. How did the conflict arise and what steps did you take to resolve the conflict?
Describe a decision you made that you knew would be unpopular with others. Why was your decision unpopular and how did you address the situation with your colleagues?
Tell me about a time when you had conflicting priorities. What were the priorities and how did you handle it?
Tell me about a new initiative you have implemented in the past 12 months in your department. What was the initiative and how did you implement it?
Have you developed someone in your team? Did you promote someone in your team? Have you identified your successor?
On a personal level, I like to ask about their family. Who are the most important people in their lives? What are the most important things in their lives? What do they value the most? This, for me, is very important so that I get to know the person I will be working with.
