At The Residence by Cenizaro, Our highest priority continues to be the health and wellbeing of our guests and team. We have been in regular contact with health agencies for information & guidance and continue to implement preventive measures in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as the individual country’s local health agencies and government authorities where we operate.

Our already stringent health and safety protocols and procedures had been stepped up since the outbreak and include: 

·         Temperature screening of guests upon arrival.

·         Cold towels soaked in 60-70% alcohol at the concierge.

·         Guest health declaration upon arrival.

·         Contactless check-in/check-out.

·         Upon arrival, guests will receive a The Residence PPE amenity kit in their Villa.

·         Airport pick-up vehicles will be disinfected after every trip.

·         Guests' luggage will be disinfected before being delivered to the villa.

·         Guest bicycle to be disinfected before given to a guest

However, going forward, The Residence Zanzibar has opted to go with Digital Check-In Process to protect our environment by eliminating printing any paper during check-in, and at the same time, it will reduce the check-in time whereby guests will just be signing to complete the check-in process. 

Check-in at The Residence is very unique whereby guests are welcomed with the signature drink of Zanzibar (Made with lemongrass, ginger, and tamarind) together with cold towels and are seated at the lobby with the mesmerizing view of the Indian ocean in front.

Check-in can also be done at the Villa and guests are taken into their private villa and offered welcome drinks and other check-in amenities. Pre-check-in as well can be possible whereby guests' passport details can be pre-submitted allowing the guests to just collect the keys upon arrival and directly taken to their villa.

We at the Residence Zanzibar, offer In-villa check-in for all our Presidential Villa guests and upon arrival, guests are taken to the villa on golf cars, check-in is done while guests enjoy their welcome drink and mesmerizing view of their 20-meter long private pool facing the Indian ocean.

Check-in Starts with the salutation and by saying “KARIBU” which means welcome, followed by a Swahili drink made out of lemongrass, ginger, and tamarind.
