Hyatt Announces Robust Pipeline in India and Southwest Asia for 2024

Growth in brand footprint to over 55 hotels across leisure and business destinations in the region as brand portfolio expands with JdV by Hyatt as the ninth Hyatt brand in India.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced plans for the aggressive expansion of Hyatt’s brand portfolio in India and Southwest Asia region, with a robust pipeline of eight new hotels that are expected to open across various leisure and city destinations in 2024. This growth is timed to coincide with the expected rebound of leisure and business travel in the country and the sub-continent.

In 2024, Hyatt’s brand expansion in India and Southwest Asia will continue with its Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric brands. Goa Tourism wins 'Destination of the Year', Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa wins 'Tourism Minister of the Year' Award at PATWA Travel Award in ITB Berlin 2024

Goa, March 2024: Goa Tourism has garnered international acclaim at ITB Berlin 2024, receiving esteemed honors that highlight its global tourism prominence. The "Destination of the Year" award was presented to Goa Tourism at the prestigious PATWA Travel Award Ceremony at ITB Berlin, recognizing the state's enchanting cultural heritage and welcoming charm that continues to captivate travelers from around the globe.

Additionally, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, the Honorable Minister for Tourism of the Government of Goa, was awarded the "Tourism Minister of the Year" at the PATWA Travel Awards. This accolade acknowledges Shri. Khaunte's visionary leadership and dedication to promoting sustainable tourism in Goa, contributing significantly to the region's socio-economic development.

The awards were accepted by Shri Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, Secretary Tourism, Government of Goa, during a ceremony in Berlin, Germany. Mr. Ahuja expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized Goa Tourism's efforts in showcasing the state's diverse attractions and commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
