Roshan started his career as a trainee in 1986, at the InterContinental Hotels Group, after which he worked for leading hotel companies such as Lanka Leisure Management Services (Pvt Ltd), Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, The Blue Water where he served as the General Manager for 4 years and then as the Chief Executive Officer for the group, Union Resorts Ltd while he continued to serve as the General Manager of The Blue Water totalling nearly 12 years of his career.

Roshan’s most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Laufgs Leisure Limited, managing Anantaya Resort and Spas & Silk Trails by Laufgs Leisure. A veteran in the leisure sector, holding senior positions for over 30 years, Roshan joins Mövenpick Hotel Colombo, an award-winning property, bringing a wealth of knowledge with a focus on strategic management, F&B, leadership and marketing.

The underconversion Grapevine Hotel in Varanasi which will be soon branding itself as Ramada Varanasi Katesar has appointed Anuj Chaurasia as the hotel’s General Manager. Located in the ancient city of Varanasi, Once operational, the hotel is spread over 4 acres and will offer 68 guest rooms with flat-screen TVs, power showers. Other facilities will include a lobby lounge, an all-day dining, roof top specialty restaurant, multiple meetings and event venues, outdoor lawns, business center, as well as a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness area, the hotel is to be rebranded and open as Ramada by April 2021.

Located in the Katesar area of Varanasi, Ramada by Wyndham Varanasi Katesar will be located close to Ramnagar Fort and Ganga Kinare Ghat, offering views of the popular ghats of Varanasi with  great connectivity from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (32 Km) and Varanasi Railways Station (13 Km).

Anuj started his career with Leela Hotels as a Management Trainee, then worked with brands like Lemon tree hotels, Taj Hotels, SATS, Spree Hospitality and his last assignment was with Averina Hotels as Corporate General Manager.

Downing has a strong background in the Orange County market, allowing him to blend local flavors and experiences with Radisson Blu's upper-upscale philosophy under his management of the property's food and beverage outlets. A certified Cicerone, he has curated the beverage program with a strong emphasis on showcasing Southern California's homegrown breweries. In 2015 as general manager of Cask 'n Cleaver Steakhouse in Rancho Cucamonga, CA he developed a live music program and a beverage program that help lead to a 28% increase in sales. During his tenure as assistant manager of TAPS Fish House and Brewery from 2017-2019 he worked alongside the brewery team and implemented standardized operations procedures across all TAPs locations. In 2019 Downing was brought on as Restaurant General Manager at South Coast Winery where he curated a new beverage program with an emphasis on local craft beers and introduced a revamped bar design.

Arjun Channa Appointed General Manager At The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas,

An Indian-born Canadian, Channa's career has taken him all over the globe. Channa speaks six languages, allowing him to bridge cultures with ease. After studying hospitality in Neufchatel, Switzerland, he began his career in Algeria, working in Stewarding. Channa then moved to United Arab Emirates, where he worked in various Food & Beverage roles for Starwood, leading him to his first Director of Food & Beverage position at the Great Wall Sheraton in Beijing, China. A few more leadership moves led him back to UAE, to Kenya, and then back to China where he served as the Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Sanya Resort.

Channa took on his first General Manager role at Le Meridien Port Vila Resort & Casino in Vanuatu, followed by another GM assignment at the Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa in India. He then served as Task Force General Manager for Starwood's Brand Assurance Team as well as the Acquisition & Development Team, both for South Asia. Arjun then moved his family to the Americas, taking the role of Hotel Manager at the Sheraton Centre Toronto. It was during this time that he gained experience in the Caribbean as the Task Force General Manager at the Westin Aruba Resort & Casino, as well as the W Vieques Resort in Puerto Rico.

Marriott has appointed Ashley Lai as General Manager of the Sheraton Samui Resort in Thailand.

Ashley, a graduate of the University of Hawaii has worked with Marriott International for over 15 years, initially at the JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

In December 2013, Ashley transferred to the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa as Resident Manager where she was recognized for her leadership as JW Marriott Rooms Leader of the Year.

Ashley then moved to Siem Reap in Cambodia, her most recent position prior to Samui, to take on the challenge of being General Manager of the first Courtyard by Marriott branded hotel in the country.

Returning to Thailand, Ashley has joined the popular Sheraton Samui Resort as GM.
