Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts in Berlin presents new Area General Manager

The former General Manager of the Hotel Steigenberger in Koln since 2016, Peter B. Mikkelsen, now holds the position of General Manager of the Berlin region.

In his new role, He will be responsible for the Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt, the Steigenberger Hotel Berlin in Los Angeles Platz and the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Berlin. He will also manage the Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt as General Manager. The new manager has training as a hotel specialist and holds a degree in hotel management. He also held the position of General Manager at the Radisson Blu in Warsaw and has gathered further experience at business hotels operated by Sheraton, Hilton and Rezidor

Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) announced at its Americas Business Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. the signing of five hotels set to join its Americas portfolio, including three Radisson RED hotels in top U.S. destinations.

Radisson RED Los Angeles Arts District

RHG’s West Coast portfolio will add another feather to its cap with the signing of Radisson RED Los Angeles Arts District. The hotel is anticipated to open Q1 2024.

Radisson RED San Francisco Market Street

That makes two for Radisson RED in San Francisco with the signing of Radisson RED San Francisco Market Street. The hotel will be part of a historic building on Market Street and will undergo a $14 million renovation to bring the Radisson RED brand to life. The hotel is anticipated to open Q3 2021. At last year’s conference, Radisson Hotel Group announced the signing of the new-build Radisson RED San Francisco Airport set to open in Q4 2022.

Radisson RED Nashville Arts District

 The hotel, which will be managed by Radisson Hotel Group, is anticipated to open in Q3 2021.It  will be part of an existing commercial building, following an extensive renovation which includes adding six floors to construct the hotel. Guests will be able to book any of the 120 guest rooms

RADISSON HOTEL GROUP TO ROLL OUT BULK AMENITY DISPENSERS GLOBALLY

This initiative is expected to eliminate approximately 500 tons of plastic annually by implement bulk amenity dispensers across all brands by the beginning of 2022, replacing small bottles for common bathroom products

 The company has made a global commitment to #refusethestraw, ensuring plastic straws and plastic stirrers are no longer used in its hotels by 2021, with eco-friendly alternatives offered to guests upon request

They are also run a series of pilot projects in various locations, with the aim of finding new ways to drive plastic reduction globally. These include the upcoming roll-out of a waste collection and recycling program for the new bulk-amenity-dispenser containers and soaps in North America

Radisson starts 2020 with 17 new hotels in India

Radisson Hotel Group has just announced the signing of 17 new hotels in India. This step is aligned with its global expansion and transformation strategy called “Destination 2022”, which foresees an increased portfolio of more than 150 hotels and 17,000 rooms in South Asia.

It aims at introducing its brands in key gateway cities and emerging destinations worldwide

Here is the list of the newly signed hotels and their main features:

Radisson Blu Hotel Jaipur Malviya Nagar: The 180-room hotel is expected to open in 2025. It is also located in one of three cities in the Golden Triangle tourist circuit and well connected with major cities of India.

Radisson Hotel Greater Noida: The 180-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2021 and will be part of a mixed-use project featuring 1,200 office units.

Radisson Hotel Dehradun: The 120-room property is expected to be operational by 2023 and will target leisure guests and business travelers.

Radisson Hotel Agra: The 165-room hotel which opened in June 2019

Radisson Hotel Gurugram Sohna Road City Center: Operational since April 2019, this 135-room hotel enjoys a convenient location on Sohna Road, Gurugram, which is home to more than 250 Fortune 500 companies. 

Radisson Hotel Vadodara: Scheduled to be operational by 2023 and situated in the industrial hub of Vadodara, the hotel will offer 140 rooms, two restaurants.

Radisson Hotel Bareilly: The 100-room hotel is expected to be operational by 2021 and will be easily accessible from Lucknow and Delhi. This property is to be the first international upscale hotel in Bareilly, one of India’s 100 planned smart cities.

Radisson Hotel Vaishno Devi: The 100-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2022 and will mark the Group’s entry into Katra, one of India’s most important pilgrimage sites

Radisson Hotel Dehradun: The 120-room hotel .The hotel is expected to be operational by 2023.

Park Inn by Radisson Vaishno Devi: The hotel is scheduled to open in 2022 and will be the second part of a dual-branded development with Radisson Hotel Vaishno Deviand will deliver a choice of 184 rooms.

Radisson Hospitality signs Prague's second Radisson Blu | Hotel Management

Radisson Hotel Group subsidiary Radisson Hospitality signed the new Radisson Blu Hotel, Prague in Czech Republic. 

The hotel group is rebranding an existing hotel to open the Radisson Blu Hotel, Prague. The existing building is in the center of Charles Square near Prague’s Old Town and New Town.

The new Radisson Blu will undergo a full renovation. The 160-room property is slated to open in the second quarter of 2019.

China's HNA reportedly explores sale of Radisson Hotel Group

HNA Group Co. is reportedly exploring a sale of Radisson Hotel Group, Bloomberg reports according to people familiar with the matter. It recently sold its Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. shares for US $1.1 billion.

The Chinese company has been selling off its assets to repay debts. 

Radisson Hotel Group has since released a statement emphasising the company's place in the hospitality industry. 

"While it has been widely reported that HNA has recently been exploring the sale of some of its assets, we are in a very strong place with our business and remain committed to our go-forward strategy," John Kidd, chief executive of Radisson’s operations in the Americas and Asia Pacific., said in a statement to Bloomberg.
